"Not only is the universe stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine," -Sir Arthur Eddington (1882 - 1944). 1874 - 1944).
Pretty...:
Imagine a world...folks who can't handle their lives...
Sayeth the Social Security Administration...
Now able to buy guns. Thanks NRA.
A recent analysis found a suicide rate among veterans
Of about 30 per 100,000 population per year,
Compared with the civilian rate of 14 per 100,000. And
So the House has approved legislation...
That would make it harder to keep veterans who are "mentally incapacitated,
Deemed mentally incompetent" or prone to blackouts from buying guns.
You don't have to imagine anymore.
I comment but then I do something wrong and I can't post it. Oh, well! You should know that I read this and I imagined! I am sickened by the situation: the budget; the healthcare bill; the bellicosity; the boor who lives in our White House. That gun has a beautifully detailed handle; still don't want it in my house. <3
ReplyDeleteLife is never simple.
ReplyDeleteReally? The house could have simplified and clarified this bill if, insead of wording it that this legislation would make it harder to keep veterans who are mentally impaired from buying guns (and isn't that a swell idea?), and changing it to making it easier for those veterans to buy guns? But that would clarify it so that some might recognize the true intent of the bill.
ReplyDeletePeople who can not care for themselves may need a gun.
